I'm a recent returnee from overseas who is wandering through life right now trying to figure out where to put my next footstep on this thing called life.
its a liberian parable, you can sometime say it like this, when you pull the rope, the rope will pull the bush. usually in rural liberia, many people depend on bush rope to build things, and to get that rope you have to cut and pull, and all that pulling will bring out a lot of bush along with the rope, thus the saying you pull rope, rope pull bush.so an example when applying that parable in a real life situation, could be, when you do not perform well on the job, your boss will come down hard on you, and you in turn will come down hard on your subordinate, your boss is putting pressure on you(pulling the rope)and you in turn are putting pressure on your subordinate to perform well(so you, the rope will pull bush when you are pull)thats the best way i can expline it, i hope you can understand what i am trying to say.
Michael...yeah, I gotcha. I was putting it out there to readers to see what they thought it meant, particularly for non-Liberians. It's a good explanation you have given. We've recently had disciplinary action to take with staff, and the person investigating initially came back with that saying. Thanks for posting...

The rope is tied around the neck of an animal, hiding in the bush?
